About The Program
Packs For Kids specifically helps children and families living in food insecure households in the Mukilteo School District. The program works in collaboration with the Mukilteo Kiwanis Club, which strives to do all it can to help the children in our community. Kiwanis Club members volunteer and assist with food drive fundraisers and backpack collections. Packs For Kids is also working with StockPot Foods / Campbell’s in the Collective Impact Team. The StockPot Foods / Campbell’s team assist with food drive fundraisers, food storage facilities, food packing, sorting, inventory and food delivery.
The Packs For Kids Program first started at Olympic View Middle School in 2010. Since then the program has expanded to Mukilteo Elementary, Horizon Elementary School, Mariner High School, Explorer Middle School, Fairmount Elementary School and Discovery Elementary School. The program serves 25+ children and their families at each of these schools. Volunteer teachers and administrators also help support the program at each school
Our Next Goal: To serve a total of 300+ children and their families.
